C&O Canal Trust

Staying in a 200-year-old lockhouse along the C&O Canal makes history come alive. Travelers seeking unique ways to interact with U.S. history can spend the night in a historic lockhouse situated along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal. The C&O Canal Trust operates seven “Canal Quarters” along the canal in Maryland, and an eighth will be ready for visitors later this year. Lockhouse guests get to experience the special connection between history and recreation within the National Park Service’s most visited historical park.
